She was a dancer, home in Perth from her travels, and he had just moved to Perth from the Eastern States. The setting was a blind date at Trigg Beach and they both quickly realised they were perfect for each other (read more of their story here). From the beginning, Danielle and Brent wanted to do their wedding a little differently and even tossed around the idea of eloping, before settling on a non-traditional, close-knit celebration focused on their friends and family.On the morning of the wedding, the two of them both got ready in separate rooms at the Crown Metropol Perth. They wanted the photography to capture their day as candidly as possible and decided they would rather spend the whole day together instead of waiting until the ceremony. After both bride and groom finished getting ready, they met downstairs in the hotel lobby for a cheeky first look, then proceeded to spend time relaxing with each other and their loved ones. No fuss, no secrecy, just a huge smile on Brent’s face as he saw Dani walk toward him. Sitella Winery was the Swan Valley wedding venue that fit their day perfectly. Their guests had drinks and shucked oysters - compliments of Jerry Fraser, King of Oysters - on the lawn with the bride and groom, then when the sun set behind the gazebo, the couple was joined by all their loved ones and had the most perfect, intimate ceremony. It was just the two of them in a service officiated by Liz Hayes Celebrant, complete with handwritten vows and a custom-designed ring by the groom. When the ceremony was over, Brent stole his new wife for one last cuddle before being showered by rose petals as they walked hand-in-hand down the aisle.Dani wore an exquisite gown from Karen Willis Holmes that she adorned with her own velvet ribbon belt. The gown seemed to float with her as she walked. Bits and Blooms floristry genius was on full display creating a lush green and white bouquet with a few matching sprigs tucked into her updo by FFF Creative. After the ceremony, they were both eager to spend time with their guests so we swooped them away for a short but gorgeous portrait session among Sitella’s vines, then out into a field to capture the last light of a spectacular Perth sunset. Chapman Films was there to help us out with some wide aerial shots that really captured the warm, golden Perth sunset that bathed the Swan Valley winery on their wedding night. The reception commenced with a jazz band, drinks and canapes on the veranda, and speeches that left everyone - bride and groom included - rolling with laughter. The dance floor quickly filled up, and with so many professional dancer friends on the guest list, erupted into a twirling feast for the eyes with just a dash of break-dancing.
