Thankfully Sandalford Estate held their wedding open day on Saturday, only a day before the Perth community went into lock down. The sun was shining and the florals were on point for this years Wedding Open Day in the Swan Valley. Sandalford is absolutely one of my favourite winery wedding venues in Australia.
This year, I exhibited in the Estate Room, this space is the perfect blend of contemporary mixed with winery warmth. The venue also revealed their brand new function room and ceremony area, which is very close to completion.
I’m really excited about this new space, it’s unique and has a fresh Napa Valley Vineyard feel to it. I know I am going to be able to capture some spectacular wedding photos with this new house as the backdrop.
Stephanie and Oliver celebrated their wedding on a beautiful spring day by the Swan River. Matilda Bay Restaurant was the perfect location for their elegant and romantic event, with a beautiful view of the bay behind them and gumtrees above that filtered the afternoon sunlight.
Cassandra and Anthony had a large, joyful wedding that was meticulously planned down to the last detail and was absolutely perfect. Throughout their wedding planning process, both the bride and groom were living on opposite sides of the country, and managed to sort out all the details while Anthony was in Perth. Even so, the two put a tonne of thought and personality into their wedding, and it was lovely to see it come together so beautifully.
Kaki and Edwin’s wedding day was a beautifully planned, autumn wedding in the Swan Valley, Western Australia. All the leaves in the vineyard were starting change colour and the backdrop was simply divine for a wedding shoot. The couple organised the whole thing from their home in China, and even though their wedding day was their first time at Sandalford, the Perth wedding venue took good care of them and helped them make their day truly special.
Marissa and Anthony’s autumn wedding in Perth was incredible and full of big love, and I’m so honoured I was able to be part of it. With at least 200 guests present to celebrate with them, you could tell the two were incredibly loved.
Mandoon Estate is one of the Swan Valley’s premiere wedding venues, with award-winning food and beverages, expansive grounds, vineyard and Swan River views, and plenty of options for Perth couples planning a wedding. The original property was owned by the Roe family and was restored with the intention of preserving the area’s heritage and showcasing all the Swan Valley has to offer. The Linton and Kay Gallery, Mandoon’s most popular spot for wedding ceremonies, is housed on the the heritage-listed Roe family homestead.
Carys and David had an incredibly joyful wedding day and it was hard not to get swept up in all the happiness they were surrounded by.The sweet couple was so in love with each other and had so much love to give everyone around them.
In February, Fiona and Brad had a beautiful wedding in what is normally the most most suitable & reliable weather period in Perth, perfect for weddings. Their special day fell in the middle of one of the worst bouts of weather Perth had experienced in recent times. While Februarys in Western Australia are normally hot and dry, this year was full of chilly, blustery days, with storms leading to floods, and rainfall records tumbling for the month of February! Through it all, these two had a day full of warmth and laughter and even a little sunshine and respite from the storms.
She was a dancer, home in Perth from her travels, and he had just moved to Perth from the Eastern States. The setting was a blind date at Trigg Beach and they both quickly realised they were perfect for each other (read more of their story here). From the beginning, Danielle and Brent wanted to do their wedding a little differently and even tossed around the idea of eloping, before settling on a non-traditional, close-knit celebration focused on their friends and family.
Bianca and Josh's wedding was such a pure and heartfelt celebration of real love. I am blessed with some of the most chilled-out brides, but Bianca was one of the sweetest and most relaxed brides I've had the privilege of working with. The girls got ready at Fraser Park Suites in East Perth. The whole room was buzzing with excitement when we got there. You could tell she had so much love for the people surrounding her on her big day, and instead of having an all-female bridal party, she threw tradition to the wind and asked her best friend to be her "Man of Honour". The boys had their own excitement...they spent the morning making some last-minute adjustments to a belt with a power drill.
Lauren and Shaun were a pair that were absolutely thrilled to be marrying each other. Their wedding took place at the Vines Resort in the Swan Valley and was full to the brim with smiles and laughter.
Jessica and David are a couple who are truly meant for each other. She is warm and vibrant, he is adventurous and loyal, and through their many years together have become best friends, world travelers, and partners in adventure.
Leah and Jarrad are such a beautiful, funny couple that were so much fun to spend the day with. Their wedding was one full of life and colour and their whole day reflected them perfectly - from the superhero underpants, to personalised socks, to mimosas and vibrant pink rose bouquets.
Tess and Jeff's wedding was one of the most delightful, heartfelt weddings we've been a part of. The whole day a tremendous celebration of love, laughter, and new life and even though the weather was blustery and rainy, the two remained radiant throughout.
When it comes to planning a summer wedding in Perth, you don't expect storms for your December wedding date. Ashleigh and Adam were lucky enough to land their special day when the skies were filled with storm clouds and moody lighting.
Emily and Neil had a sweet little surprise wedding on the beach in front of their closest friends and family. Emily looked ravishing in a boho wedding dress with barefoot sandals and a flower crown by Saschi Floreat that sat on top of her loose curls...looking every bit the perfect beach bride.
Shona and Cory had a beautiful Swan Valley garden wedding in October, with the grounds at Sandalford looking lush and green and the afternoon light twinkling through the trees. These two beautiful souls had been high school sweethearts and are still as in love as the day they met.
