Carys & David | Barrett Lane Cocktail Wedding Venue, Swan Valley Wedding
Carys and David had an incredibly joyful wedding day and it was hard not to get swept up in all the happiness they were surrounded by.The sweet couple was so in love with each other and had so much love to give everyone around them.Carys wore the most beautiful Sottero and Midgely gown with a deep cut back, and hair and makeup by The Look By Us had all the girls looking exquisite. The peach and pink tones she chose for their big day were worked into the bouquets by Rose and Bud, and Carys’ own rose and peony bouquet had colours that were absolutely to die for.Their Perth wedding was held at Barrett Lane in Perth's Swan Valley with rolling vineyards, beautifully manicured gardens, and a rustic reception venue. Les Trois Amis provided the music for the girls as they walked down the aisle and David was grinning from ear-to-ear as his bride walked toward him in a cathedral-length veil, just radiating with happiness. The weather was almost perfect for their outdoor wedding, and the two said their vows overlooking the gardens and vineyards below. It was hard to pull these two away from their guests and family, many of whom had traveled all the way from the UK, but we left the guests in good hands with Pimms, cocktails, and canapes by Showcase Catering. The Barrett Lane grounds provided the bridal party with some awesome locations for group shots, so after grabbing a few snaps with their Kombi van, I found a wall with peach tones that perfectly complemented the bridal party colours and that made my wedding photographer heart extremely happy. We finished the portrait session down by the vines as the last of the sun made its way over the horizon. The two entered their reception before the rest of their bridal party and shared their head table with family members and I love that they threw tradition to the wind in a way that showed their loved ones how special they are. When it was David’s turn to get up and make a speech about his new wifey, he couldn’t stop gushing about how happy and bubbly she is and how she lights up his world. The newlyweds both had a blast at their reception, and after sharing their first dance together, spent the evening dancing with everyone else. Just before I left, I grabbed the two so they could have one last moment to themselves sharing a dance under the fairy lights.
