Mandoon Estate, Swan Valley Wedding
Mandoon Estate is one of the Swan Valley’s premiere wedding venues, with award-winning food and beverages, expansive grounds, vineyard and Swan River views, and plenty of options for Perth couples planning a wedding. The original property was owned by the Roe family and was restored with the intention of preserving the area’s heritage and showcasing all the Swan Valley has to offer. The Linton and Kay Gallery, Mandoon’s most popular spot for wedding ceremonies, is housed on the the heritage-listed Roe family homestead. This lovely couple held their own ceremony below the Gallery - a lovely spot overlooking both the Swan River and rolling vineyards. They were married under a stunning floral arbor arranged by Chiara Anne Floral Couture, and Nina Guelfi performed a heartwarming ceremony about how the two themselves met as members of the bridal party at another wedding. After their ceremony, the guests showered them in flower petals and they both walked down the aisle as husband and wife with the biggest smiles on their faces. Mandoon Estate is one of my favourite places to photograph weddings because there are so many places to shoot without ever having to leave the grounds. We took the party for a stroll down to the Swan River for both some riverside shots and a quick stop in the bush as the afternoon light was filtering through the trees. We ended the photoshoot among that vines that had some of the most beautiful and warm winter colours, and just before going inside, the sky put on an absolutely stunning colour show for the couple. For the reception, the bride slipped into a second gown with a matching headpiece, and the two headed straight to the dance floor for a lively traditional Turkish dance. The rest of the evening was so full of love and laughter and Mandoon provided a mouth-watering menu, along with craft beer and wine, that the guests enjoyed into the night.
