Lauren and Shaun were a pair that were absolutely thrilled to be marrying each other. Their wedding took place at the Vines Resort in the Swan Valley and was full to the brim with smiles and laughter.
Lauren was an absolutely radiant bride that morning. I love a bride who lets her hair down naturally, and Lauren’s bob and the pop of bright pink lipstick on all the girls were perfect complements to the bubbly energy in the room throughout the day. She wore a bespoke wedding gown by Collezione Bridal that had a beautiful lace illusion back with a full-length veil, and Shaun was beaming from ear to ear as he watched her walk down the aisle.
The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony in the Vines Resort outdoor wedding venue, the Pavilion. It was a small and intimate affair with the closest of their friends and family, a candle lighting ceremony with mothers of both the bride and groom, and a shower of flower petals as the two made their exit. It was a wedding ceremony that was both lovely and elegant with a bride and groom that were madly in love.
You know you’re an Australian wedding photographer when the kangaroos join you for your photos. Luckily, the resort is one of the best wedding venues in Perth for kangaroo sightings, and it did not disappoint. The outing ended with a quiet moment between just the two of them among the vines and then, just as the sun was setting, we snuck back out to the golf course for some photos with a jaw-dropping Perth sunset. The sky and clouds were on fire that evening, making for some dramatic photos with the two lovers.
They joined their family and friends for their reception in the Vines Cabernet Room. Lauren’s father and Shaun’s best man both made speeches that left everyone rolling in laughter, and Shaun followed with a toast, after which the bride and groom made their way to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.
