You can feel your heart pounding under your skin
It’s a whirlwind of emotion, planning, dreams, and a deeply tingling sense of fate. It’s the day you celebrate the most important love story you’ll ever know.
I’m Anthea Auld and I am a moment hunter.
I capture the whirlwind and shine a light on all the little facets of time that make up the day. I hold it for you in a bubble of timelessness so you can always find another moment of happiness. It’s been my full-time career and vocation for over a decade.
I’ll catch hundreds of moments you might miss and couple them with an inherent eye for light, emotion, and beauty. You’ll look back and wonder how so much joy was apparent in one day, while realising you never quite noticed how I managed to be everywhere.
I’m a photographer; but also a storyteller, a documenter, and a storm calmer. I inject a sense of quiet, unobtrusive organisation along with a natural ability to keep the big picture in mind while focusing on the small details.
We’ve already met and sat down for coffee – or bubbles – before the event so I know exactly what you want, how you want it, and where you need me to be.
Whether it’s your wedding day, your first family photograph, or a celebration of simply being loved, my purpose is to have everything perfectly in my sights and running smoothly.
Your story is as individual as a star, your fingerprint, every petal on the wind. So I don’t just take your photographs, I amplify your vision. I listen to what you love and what you want and share with you the best options to make your dreams reality.
I know it’ll be a busy time. I live and breathe weddings and special moments so I have hundreds of experiences to call on if you need advice. I help you work out the timings to suit you and find the best light and locations for the perfect aesthetic.
After the day, I spend hours curating your story and images, so you can relive it again and again.
I can’t imagine anyone loving their job as much as I love mine. I deliver something permanent – a treasured heirloom of your most shining day – that can be handed down for generations to come. I take that responsibility incredibly seriously and fall a little bit in love with every story that flashes before my lens.
I believe the relationship between the subject and the photographer is paramount. For that reason, I take on those couples and families who have a vision and ethics aligned with mine. You need to be able to trust me. This isn’t just a job. This is a calling. These won’t just be photographs. They’ll be timeless artworks bursting with joy and memory.
“You can see that your job isn’t just a job, it’s your passion… On Saturday we felt that not only did we have the best photographer to capture our wedding, we felt that we have made a friend that we will keep in contact with over the years to come. Be sure that we will require Anthea Auld in the future when one day we decide to have our own family.”
